How long should I let the paint dry?

Drying time is separated into three types: touch dry, dry for repainting and total dry.

Dry to the touch occurs when the appearance of the painted surface is dry and does not leave traces on the hand when touched.
Despite this, the paint still remains wet inside and has not completely adhered to the surface, so we should not make any use of said surface or paint/varnish what has been painted.

Drying for repainting tells us that the paint has dried to a large extent, has adhered to the painted surface and we can apply a second coat of paint without worrying about ruining the first layer.
It is important to respect this period of time when we are going to apply more than one layer of paint or varnish to achieve the desired result.

Finally, the complete drying of the paint indicates that the adhesion to the surface is complete and we can use it as we wish.

Therefore, it is very important to know these drying times, which are indicated on the product bottles and in the technical sheets of our products.
