THIS IS GRAZIANO PASTORI:

  • What artistic movement do you best identify with?

[…] The artistic inspiration was born in me just after seeing the protagonists of Abstract Gestural Art of the 50s in the United States. In particular, I am interested in and deeply influenced by renowned artists such as Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko, Franz Kline, Robert Motherwell, Sam Francis, Robert Rauschenberg and Mitchell Joan, having a special admiration for the Spanish artist Antoni Tàpies.

I believe that art is not copying, but making your own art. Consciousness, thought, art, everything exists and little by little takes shape if we renounce control with the objective world.

The work of an artist does not consist only of making a painting, it consists of documenting its passage in the brief history that is the human condition; Therefore art is nothing more than the diary of a generation during the time in which it lives.

Nothing is more abstract and greater than the soul.

  • How do you start your creative process?

I do not have precise rules to begin the creative process, I look at the canvas and its size and begin to paint with precise and quick gestures, without forgetting that painting has to be personal and liberating.

  • What materials do you usually use to make your works?

Apart from having discovered, and using, vinyl paints from La Pajarita, I also use poor materials, such as old newspapers, sand, cement, pieces of advertising posters, raffia bags, etc., always with careful pictorial touches.

  • why have you chosen La Pajarita?

I choose your colors because they are fluid and transparent, especially your yellow and the carmine color when mixed with other colors during the overlay process.
