This versatile material will allow you to design a lamp that not only illuminates your room, but is also a unique work of art in itself.
Preparation of materials
Before starting the project, it is important to make sure you have all the necessary materials on hand. For this DIY, you will need:
- garland of lights
- High Thickness Epoxy Resin
- Pigment Kit for Epoxy Resin (optional)
- Molde (they can be made of silicone or another material suitable for resin)
- Anti-Bubble Spray
- Basic tools (scale, wooden mixing sticks, gloves)
Step 1: Mold Preparation and mix the High Thickness Epoxy Resin
Make sure the mold you are going to use is clean and dry before you begin. Mix the two components of the resin in the proportion indicated on the container. You have the option to tint the resin with our Pigment Kit for Epoxy Resin.
Step 2: Resin Pouring and Decoration
Once the resin is ready, carefully pour it into the prepared mold.
You can add decorative elements such as dried flowers, leaves, glitter or any other object you want to embed in the lamp. Make sure to distribute the elements and dip them slightly in the resin so that they adhere well. Now add the lights evenly carefully.
Step 3: Resin Curing
Let the resin cure according to the instructions on the product packaging. This can take several hours or even days, depending on the type of resin used and the thickness of the part. In the case of our High Thickness Epoxy Resin, complete drying takes 72 hours.
Step 4: Unmold and…Enjoy your new High Thickness Epoxy Resin lamp!
Unmold carefully and…congratulations! You now have a handmade lamp that is sure to be the center of attention in any room. Turn it on and enjoy the soft, warm light.
