We all get tired of our furniture or decorative objects and we often think about replacing them by buying new ones. In La Pajarita We opt for more sustainable solutions that will ensure that your home follows the latest trends in an economical way. Painting can update your furniture, giving a totally different look to the room where it is placed. Therefore, today we bring you a project with Cement Effect Paint that will give a second life to your lamp. Are you up to do it with us?

What are we going to need?

The material that we are going to need to carry out the project is the following:

Once we know the material we are going to use and the different ways to do it, we will begin the project.

Steps to follow

First of all, we will mix the cement paint with some earth or coffee to give more texture to our lamp. In any case, if you want to achieve an even better effect, do not hesitate to try our sandstone paste, which will allow you to achieve surfaces with a porous texture.

Once the products are mixed, it is time to start painting. To achieve an original finish, we will choose to mix the cement effect paint with Chalk Paint Cloud White and Almost Black color. It is a very easy-to-use chalk paint that allows you to mix its wide variety of colors. In our project, we will use light and dark tones together with cement paint to achieve a gradient effect.

Don't forget that the possibilities are endless and that you can choose different colors and ways of painting to reflect your entire personality.

Once it is painted, let it dry for 24 hours and we have it! We can now show off a new unique and personalized lamp in our home.

Different application techniques of our cement effect paint

Remember that our concrete effect paint has multiple application methods to achieve different finishes:

  • If you use a spatula you can get an irregular surface by drawing circles or crossed lines.
  • If you want to accentuate the Mousse effect, you must shake the product vigorously before using it.
  • Including sand or coffee, a “work” effect is obtained on the application surface.
  • To change the tone of the microcement paint to lighter or darker you will only have to apply Chalk Paint Almost Black and White Cloud.
