Art and creativity have been present in all editions, and this third edition in June 2017, the “Illustration Cube” returned. The chosen illustrators who this year shaped the Cube, with painting Chroma Color , are plastic artists who stand out for their variety of styles and techniques. Throughout the festival they were shaping the cube with our products, the painting being the protagonist Chroma Color, an ideal painting for a mural.

The artists were:

MARÍA HERREROS

This Valencian artist residing in Barcelona graduated in 2007 from the San Carlos University of Fine Arts, and since 2009 she has worked as a freelance illustrator, also exhibiting her work in galleries in Madrid, Porto, Berlin, New York, Beijing and Barcelona.

For the occasion, María Herreros highlights the figure of women in music, which has gone so unnoticed throughout history with her mural. Incredible mural result with her recognizable stamp and personality.

JAVIER DE RIBA

Born in Barcelona, ​​this designer is part of the “Reskate Arts & Crafts” project, with which he develops plans related to sustainability and humane treatment. He is a tireless creative in trying new techniques and styles, always betting on versatility. Among his most renowned works are “Varnish” (varnish on wood found in the street) and “Floors” (intervention on abandoned floors).

In this edition Javier de Riba makes us reflect on the image with his work, creating a very interactive wall with the viewer in front of which no one passes without expressing their impression

JOSÉ ANTONIO RODA

Catalan living in Madrid, this illustrator has a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a degree in Graphic Design. He is inspired by photographs, colors and song lyrics, and thus manages to redesign everyday objects that end up becoming small pieces of art.

José Antonio Roda faces his first mural for this edition of the Festival, overcoming the challenge with an outstanding work with which he always surprises with the use of color and form.

Her real name is María López and she is an artist from Donostia-San Sebastián who currently lives in Barcelona, ​​working as an art director and artist specialized in lettering, illustration and typography with brush calligraphy and digitally in large format murals painted by hand. hand.
